It feels like 2020 is finally here. After selling out almost instantly yesterday, the PS5 Pro is back in stock on Amazon.
Just to be clear, Amazon doesn’t take any upfront payments and shipping is free. Also, if the price drops between now and launch (because other retailers have lowered their prices), Amazon will automatically reduce the price of your pre-order accordingly. You can pre-order PS5 Pro here.
As a reminder, PS5 Pro will be released on November 7th. If you want to play disc games, you’ll also need a disc drive. You can find it here.
Following the half-unconvincing announcement this week, PlayStation asked several retailers and creators to try out the PS5 Pro, and after playing 11 games, the feedback was very positive. It was spot on.
The most important one has always been Digital Foundry, which he says is “very similar to the upgrade you get by putting a tier or two tier or generation or two new PC graphics card in a slot. ” I was impressed. Especially in Performance mode, you can expect higher frame rates without losing visual fidelity. They even went so far as to say that quite a few games look better in performance mode than those running in fidelity mode on the base PS5.
We hope to share our own thoughts with you over the coming weeks.
