The PS5 Pro launches in exactly one week, and our review unit has officially arrived. We can’t show you much or talk about the details yet, but we can tell you it’s arrived and show you the box.
You can expect our full review with lots of game thoughts ahead of release, but for now we’ve taken lots of photos of the box and compared it to the OG PS5 box and PS5 Slim Disc edition. Ta. In the same way. Like the PS5 Slim, it’s much smaller than the OG PS5 box and only slightly larger than the Slim.
For those not familiar with the PS5 Pro, it launches on November 7th for AU$1199 (without disc drive) and includes the following features:
Upgraded GPU: PS5 Pro has an upgraded GPU with 67% more compute units and 28% faster memory than the current PS5 console. Overall, this will render gameplay up to 45% faster, making for a smoother experience. Advanced Ray Tracing: We’ve added even more powerful ray tracing for more dynamic light reflection and refraction. This will allow it to fire beams twice, and even three times faster, than the current PS5 console. AI-driven upscaling: We’re also introducing PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. It’s an AI-driven upscaling that uses machine learning-based technology to deliver crystal-clear images by adding an incredible amount of detail. @shannongrixti
