PlayStation has kicked off PlayStation’s official 30th anniversary week with a major console update that brings some iconic goodies to PS5 for a limited time.
Restart your PS5 and you’ll see the iconic PlayStation 1 boot screen in stunning 4K. You will then be shown a small tutorial explaining that you can change the theme based on all four classic PlayStation consoles and the 30th Anniversary special theme.
Each generation of console has its own background that pays homage to that console and the original sounds that console had, which is pretty cool.
The bad news is that these items are only available for a limited time. It’s a really cool touch, so be sure to pick up a PS5 and enjoy it before it’s gone.
