The Post Lounge has acquired a strategic partnership with global post-production giant company 3, expanding its creative leadership team and finalizing plans for the new Gold Coast Studios.
The move was based on the post lounge and its siblings’ production company Orange Entertainment Co.
The expansion also shifts some of the post-production landscape, one of the most cutting-edge post offices, entering liquidation in late June.
“To bring together creative leadership, premium infrastructure and international reach has been central to our resilience and growth,” said Cartroyan, CEO of Postlounge Group.
“The industry is undoubtedly navigating periods of change, but we continue to focus on building future improvement groups that support talent, embrace global opportunities and provide excellence across the entire value chain from development to final delivery.
With Company 3, which handled projects such as Superman, Wicked, and White Lotus S3, the post lounge works side by side with Australian bound projects. The partnership will drive increased international demand as the company’s footprint, located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and soon in Gold Coast, allows end-to-end posting across its major production hubs.
Matt Bennett will be joining the post lounge this week as a senior editor and creative supervisor for the company’s short story division, serving major commercial and brand content. Brock Smith will be promoted from senior producers to newly created roles of creative integrated leads, offering integrated solutions for global production.
The Post Lounge received funding from the Queensland government last year to open Gold Coast Studios via the Capital Grants Program. The site location will be announced in August.
This year, Post Lounge serves a variety of high-profile productions, including Michael Gracie’s Biographicalist of Robby Williams, Aquarius Films’ mixtape Binge, Lud Studio/Stan’s mixtape, Ron Howard’s Queensland Shot Eden, Paramount+/BBC Studios’ Top Gear Australia.
