Can you believe PAX Australia is next month? If, like me, you’re only just finding out, you’ll be happy to know that the full exhibitor announcement has finally been released, revealing the largest exhibition venue in PAX AUS history.
The massive three-day event features favorites, as well as plenty of new faces, ready to celebrate the biggest and best event in gaming and pop culture.
Fan favorite Sega is returning to the show floor. This year, fans will be treated to Sonic X Shadow Generations, Metaphor: Refantasio, and Two Point Museum. Sega Streaming also lets you watch streaming Sega titles from your favorite content creators. Rumor has it that a certain blue hedgehog will be wandering around the floor and showing up all weekend long.
Ubisoft is back with a new experience for gamers, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. We’ll also be bringing in the game’s director Charles Benoit for a special development presentation.
Cozy Games continues its push to the forefront of gaming as The Sims earns its own spotlight. Here you can experience the latest ‘Life and Death’ expansion pack, as well as a tarot card reading with the Grim Reaper and Plumbob’s photo zone.
Bethesda plans to activate Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online. Diablo IV’s latest DLC “Vessel of Hatred” will also be on display. The New Zealand Center of Digital Excellence will also be bringing a whopping 18 playable games to the show floor at PAX Rising.
This year’s technology exhibitors include Aftershock PC, Bluemouth Interactive, Cooler Master, Govee by Clever Gear, Intel, Keychron, MSI Gaming, LG Electronics, Secret Lab, and Samsung.
Other exhibitors include Blackmilk Clothing, Aussie Broadband, Crunchy Roll and Final Fantasy XIV Online, with special photo spots and a chance to win FFXIV merchandise.
Bandai Namco will offer Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Zero to gamers along with Square Enix’s Life is Strange activation with photo activation and contests running throughout the event.
The PlaySide Studios booth will feature a huge selection of playable games, including Kill Knight, Thrive: Heavy Lives the Crown, Age of Darkness, Final Stand, and Dumb Ways to Die. You can also watch a live playthrough of MOUSE: PI for Hire by Fumi Games on the Developer Playthrough Panel with the game’s director Mateusz Michalak and producer Maciej Krzemien.
For tabletop fans, this year’s show will feature the largest tabletop area ever, welcoming Disney’s Lorcana trading card game. There’s a learn-to-play session that invites you on your first adventure, a photo opportunity in the Great Illuminary, a starter deck quest, and the chance to have your deck autographed by Disney’s Lorcana artist Matt Chapman.
And if that’s not enough, did we forget that thanks to Devolver and Massive Monster, there will be not one but two weddings? Two couples will walk down the aisle in life-size replicas on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Temple of the Lamb Cult that appears in the game.
