Paramount+ today debuted the official trailer and key art for its highly anticipated new original series, “Fake,” which will premiere exclusively on the platform on Thursday, July 4th. Starring Gold Logie Award-winning actress Asher Keddie (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Nine Perfect Strangers, The Offspring) and Australian Film Institute Award-winning actor David Wenham (Elvis, The Road). Fake is a fascinating eight-part series that explores love in a world of liars, swindlers, daydreamers, and quacks.
Inspired by Stephanie Wood’s powerful memoir Fake, this original Paramount+ drama follows magazine features writer Birdie Bell (Asher Keddie) as a rancher named Joe, who finds success on dating apps. -It depicts how he meets Bart (David Wenham) and thinks he has found his perfect match. But as the relationship deepens, Birdie is torn between Joe’s charms and the instinct that her boyfriend is not all that she has led her to believe.
