With the Big Nintendo Switch 20.0.0 update, which sets the console for the Nintendo Switch 2 release, Nintendo has changed the bunch of icons for the most popular characters.
Almost all the main icons make Mario and Luigi look happier, Yoshi and Peach look more vibrant, some Pikmin’s faces appear to change, but most people are talking (and some are upset).
(Nintendo Switch Firmware Update) Several default profile icons have been changed in 20.0.0. This is a useful chart for comparing differences. (I hope image compression will be difficult to compare. If so, I’ll post a link to the raw image in the reply.)

Not really expected, but Nintendo has introduced the Donkey Kong icon in the Super Mario movie and changed it to his new one, which also exists in Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza.
The retro flat Donkey Kong also sees the changes, making more teeth appear more subtle, but his representation still changes very noticeably.
For those who Donkey Kong was set up as DP, new things will appear for them, and there is clearly no way to get back the old ones.

Donkey Kong Bananza is the perfect follow-up for Super Mario Odyssey #donkeykongbananza #donkeykong #nintendoswitch2 #switch2 #switch #nintendo #gaming #tech.
