Lionsgate has released an official trailer. Now you won’t see me. This is the third entry in the High Stakes Illusionist Haest franchise, which kicked off in 2013. Fisher will return to the franchise after sitting in the 2016 sequel. Please see the trailer above and see more details below.
This time, the crew is working with a younger generation of magical makers played by Dominique Sessa (holdover), Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu), and Ariana Greenblatt (65). Their target this time: a precious heart-shaped diamond tied to a corrupt, ultra-rich family led by Rosamund Pike’s mysterious and perhaps dangerous new antagonist.
The trailer is classic now, from holographic performances to real-life twisted stunts and intercut deceptions, and you’re bullying the illusions of many hand-handed lights and cinemas now. The film also features Morgan Freeman returning as Thadeus Bradley, but was not seen by Mark Ruffalo’s FBI agent, Dylan Rhodes.
The film is directed by Reuben Fleischer, and its credits include Zombieland, Venom and the unknown. According to the film’s IMDB page, the four authors of this include Seth Graham Smith (Lego Batman film), Michael Lessley (Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), Eric Warren Singer (Top Gun: Maverick) and Gavin James (Minecraft film).
It’s amazing that chapter three of the franchise took almost ten years, given the healthy box office gross seen in the first two films. Now You See in 2013 exceeded US$351 million worldwide from a budget of US$75 million. The 2016 sequel, Now You See Me 2, won US$334 million from its US$90 million budget.
Now you’re looking at me: Now you won’t be announced at US cinemas on November 14th.
