The Nintendo Switch 2 will be coming this week, and will be available in a standard bundle that costs $696, as well as a Mario Kart World and a $766 bundle.
The reason is that it’s much cheaper to spend an extra $70 and get a bundled Mario Kart World (the game most people want to own) instead of adding $125 individually.
Speaking to many friends this week, waiting for Christmas to pick up this bundle, I quickly recall the fact that this is a limited-time bundle that will be phased out in the absolute latest Spring (September-November).
Nintendo was very clear both in the first Nintendo direct and in all lists in this bundle. This is a limited time promotion that can be used until spring or until stock is sold out, so we expect this to be available for a small number of shipments before Nintendo returns to its standalone units.
This applies to other markets around the world. In this market, it is expected to sell out much faster, based on the fact that inventory appears to be selling much faster than Australia.
