Nintendo has released its latest financial results, and unsurprisingly, the Nintendo Switch 2 is selling extremely well.
In the first two quarters since its release, the Nintendo Switch 2 sold 10.36 million units, significantly outselling the original Switch (4.7 million units) and PS5 (7.8 million units), solidifying its position as the fastest-selling game console in history.
In fact, it sold so well that Nintendo raised its hardware forecast for the entire fiscal year to 19 million units (from 15 million units).
As for games, Mario Kart World sold 9.57 million copies (including bundle sales), Donkey Kong Bananza sold 3.49 million copies, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Jamboree both sold another 1.37 million copies. No other Nintendo Switch 2 software was listed, but we expect this to change next time.
Needless to say, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a huge success for Nintendo, putting Nintendo in an incredible position both in terms of software lineup, hardware/software shipments, and pure revenue.
