It’s finally here! It’s hard to believe that after the initial release we’re sitting here trying to see the proper Nintendo in person, dedicated to everything about the Nintendo Switch 2.
Focusing on last week’s Nintendo Switch is… interesting… It was exciting to see if Nintendo would continue that trend this week.
Nintendo’s direct lasted 60 minutes, covering lots of things about new hardware and, more importantly, games you can see when the console starts up.
So, without further ado, once again, there’s all the announcements on the first ever Nintendo Switch 2 Direct.
This is a live update post. Refresh for all the announcements that have been made!
Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo In-person Announcement
The show started with a new Mario Kart and seeing it be exclusive to Switch 2
Not only carts, but planes, boats, sleds and even walls, they look bigger in virtually every aspect. You can even play as a cow. It is called Mario Kart World and is the title for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo showed us what the C button can do and that’s a bit cool
There were some creative theories, but it’s just a button with the GameChat feature. Ultimately, the switch will be online parity with other consoles. I think it’s dynamic. You can also share your feed with other players. This is a bit cool. If you wish, you can also purchase a camera and stream it over the stream. It has everything when Switch 2 is released and requires an NSO membership to use it, but anyone can use it until March 31, 2026.
The new Game Share feature allows you to share your games (and screens) with other players
Gameshare allows you to temporarily share your screen with other players who don’t own the game. Some older games will be updated, but other Switch 2 exclusive games will also get features.
Switch 2 screen now has a proper detail
The switch itself has an LCD screen and supports HDR and resolutions of 1080p and up to 120fps depending on the game. I can’t wait to get my Switch 2 OLED in 3 years xoxo.
