That was still not the case with the Netflix original series “The Lincoln Lawyer.” It ranks No. 1 among streaming home TV, with more than 2 billion minutes watched across 30 episodes in the week ending Oct. 27, according to new Nielsen data. The show’s previous weekly viewing record was 1.85 billion minutes for the week of May 16, 2022.
The Lincoln Lawyer is a legal drama series created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, based on the book by Michael Connelly. The series stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, a Los Angeles defense attorney who drives a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator. The cast also includes Neve Campbell, Becky Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Yaya DaCosta.
It’s becoming increasingly rare for a streaming program to generate 2 billion minutes, as all available content is spread across countless platforms. To put it into perspective:

Given the numbers above, consider that the industry is dealing with a Hollywood strike in 2023 and still has a (historically large) two months left to report streaming viewership in 2024. is also important.
In second place overall was Hulu and Netflix’s sci-fi drama “Lost,” which had a catalog of 121 episodes and 1.033 billion minutes, and re-entered the top 10 in the week ending October 20th.
Viewers who watched for at least 30 minutes watched an average of 10.7 episodes per week, so the binge-watching factor was certainly there. Nielsen said “Lost” has a long history of on-demand viewing, dating back to the early days of video iPods in 2005, when fans downloaded episodes from iTunes to get modified versions. It is said that
Tyler Perry, who has a first-look movie and TV deal with Netflix, said his latest drama series, Beauty in Black, has reached No. 3 on the original chart with 740 million total views across eight episodes. He got off to a good start, recording a 1st place finish. And 8th place overall. Its viewing was driven by a majority of Black viewers (74%), with 20% of viewers in the 18-34 age range.
New to the Originals Chart is the Australian modern western series Territory, which debuted on Netflix on October 24th and has totaled 429 million minutes watched over six episodes, making it 8 on the Originals Chart. Ranked in first place. The audience was slightly older, with 63% of viewers falling in the 50+ age range, and Hispanic viewers making up 35% of the audience.
The true-crime documentary “This Is the Zodiac Speaking” (also on Netflix) beat the original’s ranking, coming in at No. 10 with a total of 379 million minutes across three episodes.
Netflix’s Woman of the Hour remained at the top of the movie charts with 653 million minutes. The new deal includes “Kung Fu Panda 4” (499 million minutes), which moved to Netflix after being exclusive to “Peacock”, horror thriller “Don’t Move” (Netflix), 452 million minutes, and 206 million minutes (Netflix). The Indonesian action drama “The Shadow Strays” (Netflix) was included. Minutes.
Of all titles ranked this week, Shadow Strays had the highest concentration of Asian viewers (10%).
Finally, the return of “Supernatural” catalog episodes to the winning charts brings the cult favorite into the top 10 for the first time this year. With a total of 497 million minutes across 326 episodes, its No. 10 ranking marks the show’s 128th chart appearance and makes it the fifth most charted show of all time.
