Prime Video and MGM+ have released the first official images of Spider-Noir, an upcoming live-action Marvel series adaptation starring Nicolas Cage. Please see the above for more details.
Revealed during Amazon’s early 2025 presentation, the image gives fans a first glimpse into a Noir-style Spider-Man shadowy trench coat and goggles-friendly cage. The highly anticipated series is set to premiere in 2026 and is available in both black and white and colored versions.
A dark take on Spider-Man’s legacy
Based on Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comic, Spider-Noir rethinks the iconic hero in New York in the 1930s, plagued by corruption, gang violence and rising fascism. The series follows an aging private investigator, the city’s only superhero, as he confronts his past and the ghosts of his vigilantes.
In the comics at least, Spider-Noir’s powers are acquired in a very different way than Peter Parker and his radioactive spider powers. Spider-Noir’s power comes from the mystical spider god, linking his transformation to ancient powers rather than science fiction.

Nicholas Cage returns to the spider Vess
Cage previously voiced Spider-Noir with Oscar-winning Spider-Man. In Spider-Noir, Cage plays a role in live action for the first time, not afraid to kill him with a gun in the cartoon, and steps into a version of Spider-Man wearing the costume made after the deceased Ben’s war uniform.
Supported cast includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez and Jack Huston. Guest stars include Lucas Haas, Cameron Britton, Amy Aquino, Amanda Shull and Michael Kostoloff.
Behind the scenes talent
The series was developed by Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (The Punisher, Shantaram). Directed by acclaimed director Harry Bradvia (Fleabag, Killing Eve), the executive will create the first two episodes.
Spider-Noir is an executive produced by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal. This is the Oscar-winning team that Aditya Sood, Dan Shear and Amy Pascal have been photographed by Pascal. This series is produced by Sony Pictures Television on MGM+ and Prime Video.
When will Spider-Noir be released?
Spider-Noir is scheduled to premiere in 2026, but the exact date has not been announced yet. It will debut in the US on MGM+’s linear channel before launching globally on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.
