Acting Stan Managing Director Dan Taylor will oversee the streamer as executive director as part of the nine’s new broadcast and streaming pillars.
The company has announced the leadership team for this division. It was announced as one of three sections alongside the update operating model publication and market in January.
Among other appointments, TV’s Michael Healy is director of Entertainment Executive Director and Stan’s Chief Content Officer Cailah Scobie is executive director of entertainment and content acquisitions, while programming’s 9 and 9Now Hamish Turner is executive director of Channel 9, Multi-Channel and 9Now.
Tom Malone, Director of News and Current Issues, Dear Director Fiona, Director of Sports Brent Williams and Radio Managing Director, will continue to oversee each field as executive director.
The nine have appointed state managing directors Kylie Brucher (Queensland), Washington (Clive Binwa) and SA (Shawn O’Brien), allowing for the growth of the streaming and broadcasting business in those markets.
It will also begin recruiting newly created roles of Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
In announcing the changes set to take effect from July 1, he said there is a “huge opportunity” to drive the growth of nine groups.
“Nine’s streaming and broadcast brands have achieved independent success, but our strength lies in the power of nine groups, and today’s change is the first step to unlocking that potential,” she said.
“We are fortunate enough to have the top talent in the industry and are excited to be able to leverage their experience across streaming and broadcasting brands.”
