Netflix has released a new trailer for One Piece Season 2, and the world expands as the Straw Hats are forced into unfamiliar waters and even trickier corners of the map. Watch the trailer above, then read on for more details.
The teaser leans heavily into the introduction of the Baroque Works, a secret assassin network that quietly shapes events across the Great Passage. It was also confirmed that core members of the Straw Hat Pirates, including Iñaki Godoy, Kenyu Makoto, Taz Schuyler, Emily Ladd, and Jacob Romero, will be returning for the next installment of their journey.
The trailer gives us our first proper look at the Baroque Works operatives, including Charisla Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Lela Abova as Miss All Sunday, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Kamrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazara Jaslin as Miss Valentine, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, and Sophia Ann Caruso as Miss Goldenweek. The footage also leans into the series’ stranger instincts, including exaggerated powers, unusual creatures, and set pieces that made season 1 feel like a warm-up.
This season draws heavily from the Little Garden and Drum Island arcs, bringing encounters with giants, harsher climates, and the arrival of Tony Tony Chopper, an eccentric reindeer doctor who eventually joins the crew.
Season 2 is directed behind the camera by co-showrunners Matt Owens and Joe Tratz. Netflix has already announced a renewal for season 3, and the next chapter is currently in production.
One Piece Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on March 10th with the subtitle “To the Great Passage.”
