Prime Video has released a big new trailer for Crime 101, a crime thriller that sends Chris Hemsworth into a high-stakes heist spiral that pits Halle Berry and Mark Ruffalo against each other. Watch the trailer above, then read on for more details.
plot
Set in sun-bleached Los Angeles, Crime 101 centers on an elusive jewel thief (Hemsworth) whose series of robberies along the 101 freeway baffle the police. The trailer depicts him as cool, precise, and convinced that he’s the smartest person in any room, right up until the “Score of a Lifetime” starts turning the screws.
When Hemsworth’s thief meets a disillusioned insurance broker (Berry) facing a crossroads of his own, the job isn’t pretty and starts to get complicated. At the same time, a tenacious detective (Ruffalo) begins to close in, believing he has spotted a pattern, and the stakes grow as the line between hunter and hunted blurs. It is a tight three-way pressure cooker. One chases the score, one chases the way out, and one chases the truth.
Release date and cast
Written and directed by Bart Layton (American Animals, The Impostor) and based on Don Winslow’s acclaimed novel, Crime 101 also stars Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte.
Crime 101 will be released in Australian cinemas on February 12th and US cinemas on February 13th.
