A new trailer arrives on a big, bold, beautiful journey, combining Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell with Cogonada’s sweet emotional romance fantasy. Please read the trailer above and read more about it.
Robbie and Farrell are stars as Sarah and David, strangers who meet at a friend’s wedding and are thrown into a journey that brings them back to the choices that have shaped their lives after stumbling through a mysterious door. As the summary states, “They can regenerate important moments from their respective pasts, revealing how they reached their current location, and perhaps have the opportunity to change their future.”
Farrell calls the film a “heart opener,” telling people that “we’re not afraid to see some of the more painful aspects of our lives and experiences that we all share and of love and loss, but we’re always fishing for the light.”
Robbie described it as “beautiful, magical, surreal and incredibly romantic,” saying, “I think the audience will have a magical experience when they see it. Cogonada is a true artist and I’ve wanted to work with Colin for many years. He’s incredible.”
Cogonada previously worked with Farrell to direct Columbus, led by John Cho, and directed episodes of highly acclaimed series such as Pachinko and Accorite. The script was written by Menu scribe Seth Reese and was blacklisted for 2020. This is an annual list of “most licked” unprocessed scripts that circulate Hollywood.
Supported cast includes Kevin Klein, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Lily Rabe, Jodi Turner Smith, Billy Magnussen, Salagadon and others.
A bold, beautiful journey to Australia will be released on September 18th and the US on September 19th.
