Literally Piltover vs. Zaun!
Updated October 23, 12:12pm (GMT+8): Added trailer.
Experience Arcane like never before with the new ARAM map added to the League of Legends client.
While adjustments to champions have been consistently implemented in Howling Abyss, the map itself hasn’t received any major updates in years. The last minor change was made in 2023, when new bushings were added. Towers were collapsing for a while, but that mechanic has been removed.
For a limited time, you can experience the true hostility between Piltover and Zaun, just like in Arcane, by choosing to escape the cold and go to hot war zones.

All Random, All Mid is a popular League of Legends game mode in which players are randomly assigned champions and fight on a single lane map called Howling Abyss.
With no side lanes or jungles, the emphasis is on fast-paced, team-oriented gameplay and direct confrontation.
Players respawn quickly after being eliminated, leading to continuous action and frequent team battles. Enjoy the game with different strategies and dynamics than traditional 5v5 Summoner’s Rift.

Key elements of ARAM are featured in Bridge of Progress. ONE Esports had a chance to play the new ARAM map in a special preview. Players can expect:
Different types of “snowballs” Bushes have no meaning in this environment, so they have been replaced with sewer gas/fog Additional side lanes on the bottom of the map New shopkeepers, announcers New Piltover and when the Inhibitor is destroyed Zaun themed buff Appears in Nemesis Quest Arcane for Champions
“Our team has always wondered if there was more we could do to bring the Runeterra environment into the game.
We still haven’t given players the chance to play in Piltover or Zaun specifically (and many other regions for that matter)…so why not at the dawn of Season 2? ” Modes Product Lead Eduardo Cortejoso explains why he came up with this theme:

He explained that, compared to Howling Abyss, long-time ARAM fans should expect Bridge of Progress to play as the mode was intended. Despite some tweaks to relics, snowballs, and inhibitors, the “flavor” is still there.
On the topic of side lanes, he said, “I tend to prefer engagers and fighters myself, so having a new angle to gank the enemy team is a really refreshing experience, but ARAM hasn’t changed much. Enough for that champion class to gain another experience.”
