Netflix’s “Sirens” trailers include Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock, and Kevin Bacon.
The official Siren trailer has arrived and we’ve seen the dark and charming limited edition Netflix series starring Oscar winners Julianne Moore, Millie Alcock, Megan Fahee, Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton for the first time. With class satire, lots of secrets, dry, dark comedy, it looks like the kind of show that has been proven to be a hit on Netflix. Please read the trailer above and read more about it.
Set against the backdrop of a gorgeous seaside property called Cliff House, the siren follows blue-collar Devon Dewitt (recently seen Fahi, recently seen) to arrive in a community of clever islands. Simone claims she is “happiest of all time,” but Devon sees the crack under the shiny facade — and fears Simone will get caught up in something much darker.
“Mikaela and Simone are friends. They’re covered in trauma. They’re co-dependent,” Molly Smith Metzler, creator and executive producer who was behind the maids of Netflix’s famous 2010 limited series, told Netflix’s website Tudum. “But they really need something from each other, and what they need for each other changes throughout the show.”
The trailer creates tension as Devon delves deep into Cliffhouse’s gorgeous yet unsettling world. Bacon appears as Peter Kell, Michaela’s billionaire husband, and Howerton plays King Ethan Corbyn III, a wealthy neighbor with his own alliance. Throughout it, tips on the surface of buried secrets, power plays, and bubbles of family trauma.
As Fahy explains, “Sirens are really a show about relationships and how people try hard to overtake the past.” The trailer suggests that the broken bond between Devon and Simone, and the hidden pain of their shared history, will become as unstable as the plot between the elite.
The Siren will consist of five episodes and will have its May 22nd premiere on Netflix.
