The long-running series has made history as Netflix’s longest-running show with its latest renewal.
The romantic drama has become the streaming service’s longest-running original scripted series as well as its longest-running English-language drama series, with a seventh season greenlit.
Season 7 is rivaled only by Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, and the prison comedy-drama Orange Is the New Black. That would eclipse Netflix’s blockbuster series like House of Cards and The Crown, which each aired for six seasons.
