Nintendo today unveiled a new range of merchandise called Mymario, intended for parents to use to introduce children to the Nintendo world.
All of these products will be released in Nintendo Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto on August 26th, and will be rolled out globally for new products to be added.
Most interesting is the wooden block set in either a 3-piece set featuring Mario, Question Block, Mushroom, or a 30-piece set of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and more.
I think this is a cool idea. This is because these are taken throughout childhood and can be clearly maintained in use once they are old enough to enter the digital world.
There’s also a board book with lots of moving parts, such as Mario opening her mouth wide and rotating, a free app released on tablets, and a Nintendo Switch, an evolution of the Mario 64 Start screen, which allows you to pull Mario’s face in any direction.
There is also a new Stop Motion series that shows Mario’s representation and movement aimed at a clearly younger demographic.
Looking at the My Mario graphics, you can also see other items such as playmats, little backpacks, tableware, little rusks, and a variety of other toys and clothing.
