Movies | ‘Dragon Keeper’ Coming to Australia in January – Umbrella Entertainment is pleased to announce ‘Dragon Keeper’, an exciting animated adventure film for the whole family, will be coming to Australian cinemas this summer. DRAGONKEEPER is based on the bestselling and award-winning book series of the same name by Australian author Carol Wilkinson.
Dragon, starring Bill Nighy (Love Actually, About Time, Pirates of the Caribbean), Bill Bailey (Hot Fuzz, Black Book) and Mayaline Griffith The Keeper follows Ping, a slave girl who embarks on a journey to save an ancient Chinese dragon. The film has a strong message of female empowerment for young girls and is beautifully animated by the same studio that brought audiences Argonauts and Rio.
Synopsis: In ancient China, dragons were on the verge of extinction. When a precious and rare dragon egg falls into the hands of slave girl Pin, she embarks on a perilous journey to save her species and ultimately fulfill her destiny.
Umbrella Entertainment will distribute the film in Australia and New Zealand from January 16, 2025.
