Update (10/16): More winning emails have been sent out in JB Hi-Fi’s PlayStation 30th Anniversary Poll.
JB contacted more winners today in a sighted email saying, “We can allocate more voting winners and you have been selected to pre-order.”
Those who contact us today will receive an SMS on Thursday, October 17th to the designated phone number registered to their JB Hi-Fi account. You must then check out by 11:59pm AEDT.
Update (11/10): JB Hi-Fi’s PlayStation 30th Anniversary Poll sent out second chance emails, presumably because people chose not to purchase the original offer.
The email states, “As part of a secondary drawing, you have been selected to pre-order the exclusive PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection as part of the pre-order vote.”
Original story: It finally happened. This morning, the JB HI-Fi PlayStation 30th Anniversary voting email was sent out to people.
At the time of this writing, we’ve received reports that the DualSense controller, PlayStation Portal, PS5 Pro, and PS5 Slim have been selected, but it’s safe to assume that all five products have a lot going for them at this point. . Number of people who received the email this morning.
As expected, it seems that only one is selected even if all five are selected, so it is unclear how it is selected. As mentioned by JB Hi-Fi, once you select a date, you will receive an SMS on your registered number, allowing you to purchase the item on the selected date.
We’ll let you know if more units become available, either because people don’t complete their winning ballots, or if another retailer magically acquires stock.
