Warner Bros Discovery has confirmed details of the official Australian launch of streaming service Max. The platform serves as the exclusive home for a wide range of content, including HBO Originals, Warner Bros. Films, DC Titles, and Discovery Reality Series.
Max’s arrival marks a major change in Australia’s streaming landscape, especially for Binge subscribers. Several ongoing series, such as White Lotus Season 3, will continue to go wild for the time being.

Max Australia: What is it, when will it be released?
Max is the integrated streaming platform for Warner Bros. Discovery, combining content from HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Discovery, and Cartoon Network. The service is positioned as an all-in-one destination for scripted dramas, blockbuster films, reality TV, kids programming and classic titles.
Australian subscribers will release new series and films weekly, allowing major HBO titles to arrive at the same time as the US market. One of the first famous premieres after its release is the final US season 2, which will debut on April 14, 2025.
Max will be released in Australia on March 31, 2025.

What will happen to Binge’s content?
With the release of Max in Australia on March 31, 2025, Warner Bros. Discovery Content (including HBO titles) is no longer available on Binge. According to Binge, the changes will come as part of a licensing agreement that will end with the launch of Warner Bros. Discovery’s own streaming platform.

Some content is already left or will be leaving ahead of Max’s release. Notable examples include snowfall (February 23, 2025), Grimm (February 28, 2025), and nannies (March 29, 2025).
For the HBO series currently airing on Binge, such as White Lotus (Season 3), Pitts, Correct Jewels, the current season completes a run on Binge. The episode will be available on demand for 30 days after the final episode airs.
Binge continues to offer a selection of other programming, including Jackal of the Jackal, Saturday Night Live, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Australian originals like Colin on Accounts. Binge subscriptions also include access to live and on-demand sports, news and lifestyle content.
