MasterChef Australia is officially back in 2024, with a new group of contestants ready to prepare their dishes for the MasterChef crown.
Joining the contestants in their quest for culinary glory is an all-new line-up of judges, featuring two of the most beloved members of the MasterChef Australia family, Po Ling Yeo and Andy Allen.
Along with Poe and Andy, the judging panel will be joined by two newcomers to the MasterChef kitchen, journalist Sophia Levine and celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, as well as fan-favorite guest judges.

Masterchef Australia’s first season runner-up, Po Lin Yeow, is no stranger to the challenges of one of TV’s toughest cooking competitions.

MasterChef newcomer Sophia Levine is a Melbourne-based journalist best known for her food-inspired website and newsletter ‘The Seasoned Traveler’.
Having been writing about her favorite culinary experiences for over a decade, Sophia champions the social media trend #EatCuriously, encouraging her followers to explore cultural diversity through food.
“By the time I graduated from journalism, I was sharing stories about lesser-known food, while[MasterChef Australia]introduced the nation to cuisines and cultures they hadn’t thought of before. Becoming a judge on MasterChef feels like the convergence of two parallel paths,” Sophia told Ten.

For more than 20 years, Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli has lived up to his reputation as one of Europe’s most decorated chefs.
In addition to running multiple restaurants in the UK, France and South Africa, Jean-Christophe also runs the prestigious Novelli Academy Culinary School, which has been named one of the top 25 culinary academies in the world.
Having appeared on legendary cooking shows such as Hell’s Kitchen and Chef Academy, Jean-Christophe is hoping to extend his teaching skills to the MasterChef Australia kitchen.
“Developing culinary talent is something I’ve cared about for many years and I’m thrilled to be able to share that passion in the MasterChef kitchen,” he told Ten.
“Australian cuisine has an incredible reputation on the world stage and it is a great privilege to meet and mentor some of the country’s top home cooks as they strive for greatness.

To the delight of fans, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver will be returning to the MasterChef Australia kitchen for two weeks as a guest judge.
Jamie previously appeared on the fan-favorite cooking show for two episodes in 2023 and revealed he was keen to join this year’s judge line-up after working long hours in Australian kitchens. Ta.

The Melbourne-based pastry chef, beloved across the country for his decadent desserts, has since teamed up with Charlie’s Fine Food Company to launch a range of edible cookie doughs in Woolworths supermarkets across Australia. .

Chef and content creator Vincent Yeo Lim, who has over four million followers on social media, will bring his wealth of culinary knowledge to the MasterChef Australia kitchen.
Vincent, who previously worked as a chef in Emirates’ First Class Lounge, now shares his love for wok cooking on social media. Since amassing a huge following, Vincent has appeared as a guest speaker on TEDx and opened his now viral crepe restaurant, Kurepu.
Why isn’t Melissa Leon on MasterChef?
Melissa Leong has confirmed she will not be returning as a judge on MasterChef Australia for the 2024 season, but says she has accepted her decision to leave the show.
“This is a change that I’m happy to embrace. It’s something that everyone involved can expand on. Honestly, I’m so lucky to have the space to evolve my career while remaining an important part of @masterchefau,” she said. he wrote on Instagram.
Since this announcement, it has been confirmed that Melissa will be returning to the world of MasterChef as a judge for the 2024 season of Dessert Masters, alongside renowned chocolatier Amaury Guichon.
