People have been waiting for story DLC since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released a year ago, but with today’s announcement of the game’s PC version, Insomniac has announced that there are no plans for story DLC for the game. It was also revealed that
“While we have no plans for additional story content for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we are excited to bring all previously released post-launch content to the PC version,” Insomniac confirmed.
The main reason people thought they were getting story DLC was due to the upcoming Insominiac leak detailing three story DLCs, including Maximus Carnage, Birth of Venom, and Trail of the Cat. Especially since the first content date is December 2023, which is already really past.
It’s still unlikely that this is just Insomniac holding back, but it does seem as if they’re putting water on the rumor and are focusing on Wolverine and a rumored standalone version of Venom in development. This almost confirms that. .
But for now, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC on January 20th. You can read more information here.
