The official trailer for Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots Volums 4 has arrived. It’s as wild, weird, wonderfully amazing as fans would expect. This round features 10 new shorts and the trailer is wasted no time showing off the madness. Reimagined as a marionette, Mr. Mr. introduces mutant Dino Rider’s gladiator ring and cats with a plan of world domination. Welcome to the Sandbox that Breaks the Boundary. Look up.
The visuals and storyline are eye-opening once again, but the voice cast this season is undoubtedly the most eclectic. John Oliver plays the robot butler, Dan Stevens literally voices the demon, is it a speaker voiced by Kevin Hart? Joining them include Rhys Darby, Chris Parnell, Brett Goldstein, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Melissa Villaseñor.
“I’m trying to get a mix of horror, sci-fi and fantasy,” creator Tim Miller told Netflix’s site Tudum. “And we really work with Faxt’s incredible writers and artists.” David Fincher, who Hells the opening short for the season, stops a trippy, stringy homage to the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2003 Slaine Castle performance.
Jennifer Yu Nelson returned as director to direct the cyberpunk themed Spider Rose, saying, “Each season is coloured differently for a selected story. I think this season we really tried to balance light with darkness, humor and real tragedy.”
With giant babies, space-bound dinosaur death matches, cats fighting the demons of the menu, Volume 4 is becoming the most unpredictable outing of the anthology.
Now it’s already! Love, Death + Robot Volume 4 will arrive on Netflix on May 15th.
