EXCLUSIVE: Ketchup Entertainment’s Warner Bros. Animation’s The Day the Earth Exploded: A Looney Tunes Movie will be released in theaters on February 28, 2025.
The film, originally conceived for Max, had its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June and received critical acclaim. The Ketchup acquisition was first reported by Deadline.
The film will make its North American debut Friday at the Animation is Film Festival, giving it a spot in the Oscar race for Best Animated Feature.
The picture was directed by Pete Browngard and sees Porky Pig and Daffy Duck team up again, this time to face the threat of an alien invasion.

The Day the Earth Exploded is presented by Ketchup Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, starring Darick Bachman, Browngard, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, and Michael Ruocco. , Johnny Ryan, Eddie Trigueros. Alex Kirwan will serve as supervising producer, Michal Boehm will serve as line producer, Nick Cross will serve as art director, and Aaron Spurgeon will serve as production designer.
