Mickey Haller is back in business, but this time the case is personal. It officially launched in Lincoln Lawyers Season 4, and filming is underway in Los Angeles. Manuel Garcia Lulfo returns as a smooth, street-savvy defense attorney who normally undergoes surgery from the back seat of Lincoln, but this season he finds himself on the other side of the law.
The upcoming season will adapt to Michael Connery’s sixth Lincoln lawyer’s novel, “The Law of Innocence,” picking up the tense finale of season 3 where it was left off. With Mickey in serious legal trouble, the interests are higher than ever before.
“Well, all the biggest cliff hangers are co-exercises from the “What happens to Mickey?” series and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey (pictured in the set above and below) He spoke to the set’s Netflix site Tudum. “But in the first episode, at least you’ll understand what exactly happened, what was accused, and the enemy will understand the broad strokes that Mickey faces. This is what Mickey is saying. It is the biggest and most personal challenge we have ever faced, and the biggest roller coaster we still have to take on an audience.”
Mickey isn’t the only one facing the turbulent path ahead. “Our other characters deal with not just the Mickey case, but many of the challenges they face,” Humphrey added.
Of course, the courtroom showdown will not be complete without an intimidating opponent. Season 4 introduces something terrifying. Enter Emmy-nominated actress Constance Zimmer (Unreal, Entourage) and joins the cast as Danaburg, a ruthless prosecutor known as “Deathrowdana.” A relentless force in court, she is said to be the one who bends rules for her advantages. “Constance filmed our first scene in court. It was amazing!” Humphrey teased.
Fans can also expect a return of Lincoln’s regular lawyers. This includes Becky Newton as Lorna, Jazz Raycole as Izzy, Angus Sampson as Cisco and Nev Campbell as Maggie McPherson all episodes, especially in the new season.
Mickey is on trial and promises that the next chapter will be fierce in the upcoming fierce battle. And now we wait. Netflix has not announced a release date yet.
