However, although nothing has been confirmed, this may not be the end of the story as fans are hoping for more from Prime Video’s animated show.
Producer and cast member Travis Willingham exclusively told RadioTimes.com:

“We are also excited about the upcoming Mighty Nein animated series.
“But if people tune in and we continue to excite our viewers, I hope we can tell this story for as long as they give us.
“So I think people just need to tune in and we’ll see what happens.”
As Willingham mentioned, Amazon Studios has greenlit Critical Role’s second animated series, The Mighty Nine, in 2023.
There’s no release date yet, but it’s clear there’s more to come from the CR gang.
Ahead of the dramatic events of Season 3, producer and cast member Liam O’Brien told RadioTimes.com that this episode will be heartbreaking. , but suffice it to say that dealing with Umbracil at the end of Season 2 will be nearly impossible, and every step they take in this chapter of the Season 3 story will come at a heavy price.
“We’re going to break your hearts, we’ve come to break your hearts, so prepare your hearts to be broken.”
