Former Screen Queensland CEO Kylie Munich has been appointed Executive Director of Screen NSW.
Munnich has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in content distribution, development and co-production. She joins Screen NSW from A+E Media. At A+E Media, he was Vice President of Global Content Sales based in London, and prior to that he was CEO of Goalpost Pictures.
She led Screen Queensland from 2019 to 2022, guiding the state’s industry through the pandemic period which welcomed many international productions. She also worked at Seven Studios, Sky Vision, Sony Pictures Television International, and MGM International Television.
Screen NSW is establishing a second film studio in Sydney, which will help drive the delivery of our strategy and strengthen our relationships with industry and stakeholders.
Munich joins the organization by creating its own division within the creative industries, hospitality, tourism and sports sector. It was previously housed in the department alongside the Sound NSW and 24 Hour Economy Commission offices.
In December last year, Screen NSW head Cath Hepworth announced she was leaving the agency to pursue other opportunities. At the time, the agency announced it would create a new executive director for screen development.
She is scheduled to start work on March 16th.
