In an interview with French magazine Le Film Français, Kojima Hideo effectively placed the tentative launch window for his espionage thriller Physint, which was revealed to be in development for the PlayStation in 5 and 6 years of play state last year.
When asked if he would pursue more filmmaking projects after the A24, more specifically the director’s adaptation rap for the role of director, Kojima replied.
“In addition to Director of Death 2, there’s Physint in development. It’ll take another five or six years. Maybe I finally decided to work on the film. I grew up in the cinema. The director pays tribute to that.
It’s not surprising given that this kind of turnaround also has other works such as the OD in development, but there’s no doubt that Kojima’s spiritual successor will wait a long time for those keen on Metal Gear Solid.
Press Start recently visited Kojima Productions and was offered the opportunity to practice Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Click here to read.
