Judging Australian gaming teams and meeting SA gaming developers in Adelaide

Calling all game developers in South Australia!

Ahead of South Australian Screen Corporation’s public event ‘SAGE: SA Game Exhibition’ on Friday 10 February, South Australian game studios and independent developers will be joining Screen Australia’s SAGE: SA Game Exhibition in a series of special industry events. You will have the opportunity to meet with the game team and learn more. About federal funding opportunities.

Screen Australia’s Head of Online Lee Naimo and Games Investment Manager Amelia Laughlan will support South Australian game studios and independent developers at a series of special industry events to be held on 9 and 10 February 2023. Head to Adelaide to meet the people – registration is now open.

SA Game Developer: Learn about Screen Australia’s presentation and mixer

All SA video game developers are invited to attend this special presentation by Screen Australia’s games team. Learn more about Screen Australia’s Games: Expansion Pack fund, which is currently open for applications. This will be followed by a Q&A session and networking. We will cater light meals.

Date and time: Thursday, February 9th, 12:30pm to 2:00pm
Location: Game Plus Adelaide, L2/44 Pirie Street, Adelaide 5000
Price: Free but registration required

One-on-one meetings with Screen Australia’s games team

SA developers are invited to register for a one-on-one meeting with the Screen Australia Games team. A limited number of 30-minute sessions will be held over two days on Game Plus on Thursday, February 9th from 12:30pm to 2pm. SAFC’s Adelaide Studio, Friday 10th February, 9.30am to 1pm.

The purpose of these conferences is to bring together the South Australian gaming community and national film production institutions to enable them to share their experiences making games in South Australia. Practitioners at any stage of their game development career are welcome to participate. Registration is required as spaces are limited.

Date and time: Thursday, February 9th, 12:30pm to 2:00pm

Location: SAFC’s Adelaide Studios, 1 Mulberry Road, Glenside 5065
Price: Free, but registration required. Please note that all participants must follow Adelaide Studio’s COVID-19 safety protocols.

SAGE:SA Game Exhibition

Experience the best of South Australia’s video games at the South Australian Film Corporation’s inaugural SAGE: SA Games Exhibition. This is Adelaide’s newest and most exciting event for video game developers, fans, players, enthusiasts and everyone in between.

Free and open to the public, SAGE will feature 18 South Australian game developers and studios showcasing their latest work. Play the games, meet the team behind them and learn more about South Australia’s gaming sector.

SAGE 2023 is your chance to experience first-hand the best of South Australia’s thriving video game development industry.

When: Friday 10th February, open from 2pm to 6pm (official opening by South Australian Arts Minister Andrea Michaels at 2:15pm)

Price: Free, but registration required. Please note that all participants must follow Adelaide Studio’s COVID-19 safety protocols.
