According to a report from Bloomberg, Jade Raymond has set up in 2021, and is currently processing the development of fair games, the next big hope in PlayStation’s live service strategy.
Raymond has become a well-known consumer producer in franchises such as Assassin’s Creed and Watchdog.
There was no specific reason to explain her departure, but the Bloomberg report cites sources that have been external testing of the fair game within the past few weeks, with some developers claiming they are concerned about the reception.
Fair games have quite a mountain to climb in terms of being responsible for the load of directionality of live services PlayStation took this generation. This has actually been streamed on the incredibly successful Helldivers 2 so far.
Raymond’s most reception departure takes a rather intense decade in the industry. She left Ubisoft after a long spell that found EA’s motivations in 2018, just to leave that team for Google Stadia. And we all know how it went.
“Jade Raymond was an incredible partner and visionary force in the founding of Haven Studios,” a PlayStation spokesperson told Bloomberg. “We are deeply grateful for her leadership and contributions. We hope that she will be the best in her next chapter.”
