“At that point I had no self-esteem, so I was insecure and vulnerable and heartbroken,” she said. “It was a recipe for disaster. I took the coward’s route to escape that feeling.”

For several years after entering a rehab facility, Ms. Henderson focused on regaining her health and spoke about her struggle only to a few close friends and family, including her manager, personal assistant, and parents.
Her KIIS FM co-star Kyle Sandilands was unaware of her suffering until this morning’s segment.
But she says she’s willing to talk about what she’s going through, even though she’s kept it to herself for so long.
“I can only speak about my experience because my addiction is very different from other people’s addictions,” she said. “But people can ask me whatever they want and I’m fine with that.
