Industry representatives from Nine, SBS, ABC, Seven and Netflix will tomorrow take part in Media Diversity Australia’s annual industry roundtable at Nine’s headquarters in North Sydney.
Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights and Multicultural Affairs Julianne Hill will be joined by representatives from AAP, Guardian, Conversation Media Group, ARE Media, Junkie Media, Women’s Agenda, National Indigenous Times and others.
Representatives from the federal and state governments, Free TV, AFL, Google, Meta, Walkley Foundation, Women in Media, Workplace Gender Equality Agency and more will also be in attendance during the first half of the event.

Building on the momentum from last year’s inaugural roundtable held at SBS, this year’s event includes senior speakers from leading media organizations, including new members from ARE Media, Junkee Media, Women’s Agenda, National Indigenous Times, Hachette, and more. This year’s roundtable will feature a keynote address by Assistant Secretary Julianne Hill and a thought leadership panel moderated by Nine’s Sarah Abbo and featuring AFL DEI executive Tanya Hoche.
The closed roundtable will discuss key challenges, barriers and action plans and aims to build on the results of the seven working group meetings held over the past year.
