It’s no secret that the celebrity edition of ‘The Amazing Race Australia’ awards $100,000 to the winner’s chosen charity. But how much do contestants actually get paid?
A team of 11 celebrities and their loved ones will trade their lives of luxury to test their resilience as they fight, cry and sweat in a strange land.

So what is all this mental suffering really worth to these celebrities? Channel Ten is thought to be sparing no expense.
According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the network distributed “just over $1 million” to 2,024 teams, with celebrities divided into three salary tiers.
The newspaper reported that former professional swimmer Ian Thorpe was revealed on in-house television to be the highest-paid contestant this season. Ian is believed to have received around $350,000 for taking part in The Amazing Race alongside his friend and teammate Christian Miranda.

Reportedly in the same pay bracket is former Project host and comedian Peter Hellier, who is competing with his wife Bridget.
Contestants in the second slot are believed to have won between $50,000 and $70,000 and include Natalie Bassingthwaite, Chloe Logarso and Emily Gielnik of the Matildas, Tai Tuivasa and Billy Brownless. It will be done.
In the lower categories, Jett Kenny, Luke McGregor, Cyrell & Eden, Havana Brown, Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersey are reportedly earning up to $50,000.
Contestants aren’t the only stars making a lot of money from The Amazing Race. In a 2021 interview on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Beau Ryan revealed that he received $800,000 in hosting fees.
The former professional soccer player was announced as the host of the reality series in 2019 and has been doing so ever since.
