Netflix has announced the official teaser trailer for House of Dynamite, a star-studded thriller of Oscar winner Kathryn Bigelow (Hartrocker, Zero Dark 30). The above teaser and the following information.
The premise is simple. That’s not the case. The story continues with what unfolds after the missiles are launched in the United States. This is a race to clarify who is responsible and what actions must be taken. The script comes from Noah Oppenheim (Zero Day, Jackie).
Bigelow has portrayed an impressive cast to tell this nasty home-like story. The lineup includes Idris Elba (Luther), Rebecca Ferguson (Dune), Jared Harris (Chernobyl), Anthony Ramos (Heights), Greta Lee (Past Life), Jason Clark (Oppenheimer) and Caitlyn Dever (Distrust).
“I grew up in an age where I was hiding under your school desk and was considered the go-to protocol for surviving the atomic bomb,” Bigelow tells Netflix’s site Tudum. “It looks ridiculous now, but that was the case, but back then the threat felt very immediate and such measures were taken seriously.”
Bigelow said, “Today, danger is only escalating. Multiple countries have enough nuclear weapons to end civilization within minutes. And yet there is a kind of collective paralysis.
Well, that “unthinkable” comes to life with this feature. And early reviews suggest that it is as intense and dark as it sounds. The film just premiered at the Venice Film Festival and has scored an impressive 90% rotten tomato score to date. The Guardian calls it “terrifying” and the deadline says “it might scare you.” Eeek.
House of Dynamite will be released in Select UK cinemas on October 3rd, globally selected Cinema on October 10th, and on Netflix on October 24th.
