In what may have felt like the world’s worst-kept secret for a moment, Ninetdno has officially come out and announced its next console, the Nintendo Switch 2.
First, have the trailer say (or display) the following:
There’s not a lot about specs here, but we do know that the Switch 2 has a larger screen and a new stand, along with new, larger Joy-Cons that magnetically attach to each side of the console. Masu. There were rumors that the older Joy-Cons would work with the Switch 2, but looking at this trailer it seems that’s not the case.
The new Mario Kart was also unveiled for the first time, and it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen it. That’s good, but I just hope this isn’t just another version of Mario Kart 8.
We’ll add more to this news as it develops, but we do know that the Nintendo Switch 2 will launch sometime in 2025.
