Last semester. Final round of chaos at Hartley High School. Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 3 of Heartbreak High, the final chapter of the Sydney-set teen drama. Watch the trailer above and read on to find out what’s in store for graduation.
Fourth grade comes with consequences.
Season 3 finds Amelie and the Hartley crew plunged into the deep end once again. The 4th grade is a turning point, and you should have a big question: “What should I do next?” But the trailer suggests it’s going to be a lot messier than that.
A revenge prank seems to spiral out of control, setting off a chain reaction that takes a toll on friendships, romances, and reputations. The footage teases violent confrontations, awkward confrontations, and unresolved schoolyard aftermath. On top of that, Amelie’s old passions resurface at just the wrong time, adding new turmoil to an already unstable final year.
If the first two seasons were about surviving at Hartley High School, it looks like season 3 will be about facing the consequences of everything that happened before.

The cast members reflect on their farewell
TV Week spoke to cast members at the end of the series, and the mood seems proud, emotional, and even a little surreal.
James Majus, who plays Darren, summed up the mixed emotions of the final season: “It’s a mixture of everything. We were excited, scared and nervous. There’s something new about this season. We’ve added members to the ensemble, we’ve got new writers and directors, so it feels really fresh. The reward is a really beautiful send-off for Season 3 and the characters, and we’ve been able to showcase some really great young Australian talent behind the scenes.”
For Chloe Hayden, who returned to play Queenie, the show also offered something personal. “I was really happy to get a second chance as a teenager. I think there are a lot of people who wish they could be teenagers again in a gentler way.”
Bryn Chapman Parrish, who plays Spider, said she identified with her character’s development in the final season. “Basically, he learns that you can’t change who you are or who you are to other people. If you don’t, it won’t work. You have to stay true to what you want and what you need.”
Who will be back for the final season?
Ayesha Maddon as Amelie Wadia, James Majus as Darren, Chloe Hayden as Quinni, Asher Jasvinczek as Harper MacLean, Will McDonald as Ka$, Thomas Weatherall as Malachi Mitchell, Gemma Chuatlan as Sasha Thor, Shelley-Lee Watson as Missy, Brody Townsend as Spider, Ant, Cartanya Maynard as Zoe.
Season 3 also saw the addition of new faces, with Ben Talland, Ioane Saura, William McKenna and Aki Munro joining for the final term.
