Australia: There’s a full HBO Max with its August 2025 release schedule! From returning superheroes and real-life scandals to thrillers and bloody franchise revivals, there’s something for all kinds of viewers this month.
Leading the pack is Peacemaker Season 2, with John Cena improving his role as an awkward, fierce anti-hero trying to achieve peace by the means necessary. Horror fans can dig into their final destination: Bloodlines, the latest chapter in the long-standing series.
True crime is in the serious spotlight this month. These include the calm unsolved cases explored in the yogurt shop murders and the hot button controversy in Rubiales vs. Hermoso: World Cup kiss. Meanwhile, Dead Hot brings together dark comedy, romance and mystery, following a group of sadistic friends plagued by past losses.
