Australian Olympic breaker Rachel Gunn is making the most of her 15 minutes of fame. After her polarizing daily life in Paris became a hot topic online, sources say university lecturer Leighan was hired by the producers of the reality show “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” It is said that he is being courted.
In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, an insider revealed that Raygyn is “very close” to signing on to appear on the show.
“Raegan has been one of the people at the top of the list that bosses have been working on since she came into the news,” a source told the publication.
“Initially, Raegan’s team turned her down, but now she realizes that her window to make big money is closing quickly. And she’s getting six-figure sums again to do the show.” That would be impossible.”
The news comes just days after New Idea was told by another source close to production that Network 10 is “very interested” in using the 36-year-old next season. It was announced a week later.
“Raygun is an ideal camping companion,” said a source.
“The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or hate her, she’s what everyone is talking about.”
“It’s these viral moments and water cooler conversations that I’m A Celebrity wants to capitalize on, and you don’t want to miss out on casting moments like this,” they added.

Rachel herself was asked about her rumored appearance on the Fitzy & Wippa reality series alongside Kate Ritchie in early November.
“We want to know how many invitations were received, how many people raised their hands, and how many proposals were received. That means there will be a huge list. We want to know how many invitations were received, how many people raised their hands, and how many proposals were received. That means there will be a huge list. Do you have any idea about the request you received?” Curious Wippa asked about the sense of the virus.
Rachel responded that she has received “a lot” of offers to appear on reality shows since becoming famous by competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“Yeah, you’re going to the jungle, right? No, you’re not going to do it, are you? None of that interests you at all,” Wippa pressed.
“As someone who went viral for my performance at the Olympics, I think I have a very meme face. It’s very expressive and I don’t feel like going on a reality show is the right thing to do. … Over the last few months, I’ve been really focused on managing this whole situation … focusing on my mental health.”

Rachel made global headlines when she scored zero for a rather unusual braking move involving a “kangaroo hop”.
Comparisons have been made to comedic fictional characters such as Kath Day-Knight from Kath & Kim and Elaine from Seinfeld. But not all reactions were negative.
Rachel received overwhelming support from fellow Australian athletes at the closing ceremony and even caught the attention of Adele.
During a concert in Munich, Adele told the crowd that “women breakdancing” was “the best thing that happened at the Olympics.”

In an interview with Rachel ahead of her Olympic debut, she told New Idea she couldn’t wait to “make Australians proud”.
“When I started breaking out in my mid-20s, I never thought I would become an elite athlete representing my country in the world’s biggest games,” Rachel said.
The Macquarie University lecturer said she first became interested in breaking in 2008 when she accompanied her now-husband and coach Samuel Free to a breaking training session.
Rachel, who studied ballet, tap and jazz as a child, didn’t take it seriously until 2011 when she saw a woman at the center of a breaking circle surrounded by men.
“That moment stood out to me and I thought, ‘I can do this too,’” Rachel says.
“Having men and women equally participating and dancing together at the Olympics is a very positive outcome for everyone.”
