The official trailer has landed in Greenland 2: Immigration. Gerard Butler is rocking his family again through the apocalypse, which has not yet ended with them. Check out the trailer above and read the essentials.
Five years after Comet Clarke destroyed the planet, Garrity still lives underground in Greenland. John (Butler) clings to the “new normal.” Allison (Morena Bacarin) and the old Nathan (Roman Griffin Davis, JoJo Rabbit) feel the walls close. Mission: Leave the bunker, cross broken Europe, finding places you don’t want to kill every 10 minutes. The sequel appears to be enjoying the weather as a weapon, including missile-like meteor showers, radiation pockets, and even tide waves. Humans are not that friendly.
Supported by Butler, Bakarin and Griffin Davis leads, Amber Rose Lever, Sophie Thompson, Trondo Fausa Orboogue and William Abadi. Rick Roman War (Angel Falled, Kandahar) returns directly. The script is written by Chris Sparling (Greenland) and Mitchell Laforton.
The first film did relatively well with a mid-budget production (reported US$35 million). It was released during the pandemic. Greenland surpassed box office revenue in many international markets outside the US, finishing at a box office of USD 52 million.
Greenland 2: The transition will begin at US cinemas on January 9th, 2026.
