Unfortunately for these best friends, their round-the-world race came to an end after round six in Magaliesberg, South Africa.
After learning a Zulu tribal dance and successfully completing a “high kick” challenge that required a perfect performance, the girls succeeded on their first attempt and moved on to the next stage.
Despite this early lead, in the Road Block Challenge, where only one member of each team can participate, Steph struggles to find a complete set of human teeth at an archaeological dig site, resulting in the race’s I was at the bottom in this section.
“I felt a little hopeless,” Steph said of her experience.
“Everything happens for a reason and in our time, we ended on a good note, had a great experience and were on track,” she added.
The team entered the race on behalf of The Salvation Army Melbourne 614, which provides support to people experiencing or facing homelessness, poor mental health, addiction and poverty.
