The Bachelor is back, so it’s time to alert your group chat and dust off your cheeseboard. Well, in a way.
ICYMI: Earlier this year, it was announced that Channel 10 was saying goodbye to The Bachelor after a decade of great television.
This news wasn’t a huge shock, as the reality show has been experiencing poor ratings in recent years. The final episode was a far cry from Bachier’s glory days, when it was a must-see on TV and drew more than a million viewers.
So we said goodbye to Bachie as we knew it.
However, after a successful first season in the United States, The Golden Bachelor has a season in Australia, featuring senior suitors looking for love.
One thing is for sure: I’m ready to get hurt again.
The franchise has found a home on the new network. Say goodbye to the nostalgia of tuning into Channel 10 on Wednesday and Thursday nights as the Nine Network has secured The Golden Bachelor.
The news was confirmed when the 2025 content line-up was announced at Nine’s Upfronts in Sydney this week. Amid updates to MAFS and The Block, a new version of Bachie has been confirmed.
The only question that must be answered is who will host the new Bachie.
Fans are used to seeing Channel 10 presenter Osher Günsberg on screen, but a new network means a new presenter.
The one and only Sam Armytage will be hosting The Golden Bachelor after leaving The Farmer Wants a Wife.
