Disney+ has announced that FX’s original limited series Say Nothing will be released exclusively on Disney+ in Australia for nine episodes this November.
The series is based on Patrick Laden Keefe’s best-selling book, which was recently ranked #19 on the New York Times’ “100 Best Books of the 21st Century.”
Say Nothing is a fascinating story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland during the Troubles.
The 40-year series begins with the shocking disappearance of Jean McConville, a single mother of 10 children. She was kidnapped from her home in 1972 and was never seen alive again.
Telling the stories of various members of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), Say Nothing depicts the extremes some people go to in the name of their beliefs, and the sudden escalation of a deeply divided society into armed conflict. It explores the possibilities of falling and the long shadow of war. The emotional and psychological costs of extreme violence and norms of silence against all those affected.
The series stars Laura Petticrew as Drowse Price, a young woman who becomes a powerful symbol of radical politics, and Hazel Doop as Marian Price.

Anthony Boyle plays Brendan Hughes, a charismatic but contradictory military strategist, and Josh Finnan plays a major political operator who later becomes involved in peace negotiations but has always denied any involvement with the IRA. He plays a certain Gerry Adams. Maxine Peake stars as the elderly Dollose Price.
Say Nothing is executive produced by Color Force’s Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, creators Joshua Zetumer, Patrick Laden Keefe, Edward McDonnell, Monica Levinson and Northern Irishman Michael Lennox. Take command.
This series is produced by FX Productions.
All nine episodes of FX’s Say Nothing will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in Australia on Thursday, November 14.
