Production is officially underway at Ted Lasso Season 4! Apple TV+ shares a brief teaser that reunites familiar faces to the diner’s meal while the first day of filming is underway.
Filming begins in Kansas City with a teaser for the set
The camera began rolling in Kansas City, Missouri. It is the hometown of both Jason Sudeikis and his Moose Touch coach. The production will also return to London, where most of the series was filmed.
To mark this opportunity, Apple has released a short behind the scenes video featuring Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Juno Temple (Keeley) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie). The clapperboard features “first day”, audio calls, “actions”, and cast flashing, and cast delves into the cast. Removed from the camera, Temple’s Keely said, “Hmm! It’s a casual, warm reunion and we’ll see the camera rolling in the next chapter.
Ted takes on a new team
Ted has returned at Richmond this season, but he is not a Premier League team. He is currently coaching the women’s team in the second division. This is a fresh turn of events from previously “almost self-reopening” and co-creator Bill Lawrence.
“Ted and the team learned to jump before they could see, and they never thought they were.”
Cast and new additions
Back in Season 4, Sudeikis, Waddingham, Temple, Swift, Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt are back. Joining them are Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Fay Marsai (Andre), Jude Mac, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abby Heln (Enola Holmes 2), Grant Ferry (Obi Wan Kenobi), and Ted’s sons, Henry and Gus Turner.
The roles are still wrapped, but there are hopes of some newcomers becoming part of a new team.
Authors and producers
Sudeikis continues as executive producer along with Lawrence, Hunt, Joe Kelly and the new EP Jack Burditt (30 Rock). Writers include Goldstein, Lean Bowen, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, Sarah Walker, Phoebe Walsh, Julia Lyndon and story editor Dylan Maron.
The show is produced by Doozer Productions in connection with Warner Bros. TV and Universal TV.
There is no release date yet
No premiere date has been announced, but filming has progressed and with the dynamic front of the new team, Ted Lasso has officially played!
