Spider-Man Swings Magic: Gathered on September 26th, there are two exclusive cards to reveal thanks to the neighborhood friendly people of Wizards of the Coast.
The first card is a special card. This is an alternative promotion available only in the Marvel Spider-Man Bundle. And of course, it’s nothing more than a radioactive spider.
This alternative version is inspired by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and introduces the Spider that chews Miles Morales. The artwork also includes Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy woven into the web. This nods to other characters featured in the film.
Radioactive spiders are 1/1 creatures of 1 (g) and have reach and death touch.
You can also activate a 2-mana fate bite at magical speed, search the library at the expense of radioactive spiders, search for spider hero cards, reveal it, and shuffle it after you get it.
This is a flavorful effect that perfectly fits the set, allowing you to make your spider hero a tutor. So, if you’re running something like a second exclusive card reveal, this little spider will be an important piece to get the spider to the battlefield.
The second card is our hero, Spider-Man himself.
Spiders-Man, Heroic Horde, is a legendary creature Spider hero with a cost of (1)(g)(g)(g) mana. This 2/3 creature brings the classic Spider-Man agility to the battlefield with its flavorful web sling casting abilities.
Web slings can be activated in (4)(g)(g), but can only be cast by returning tapped creatures that are controlled by the owner’s hands. When you do so, Spider-Man, heroic Horde enters the battlefield with a bonus. You earn 3 lives and create two 2/1 green spider creature tokens with reach.
This set has been incredible so far, especially for fans of comics and films. Magic: Spider-Man from Gathering Marvel will be released on September 26th, with a pre-release event starting September 19th.
