plot
The film lives with Elfaba (Cynthia Eribo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande) estranged and with the consequences of their choices. Now, branding the evil witch, Elphaba hides in the Ozian forest, still fighting for the freedom of silent animals, and is about to expose the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Glinda becomes the public face of Oz’s “Good” and lives in the city of Emerald under the guidance of Madame Morible (Michel Yeo).
As Glinda prepares to marry Prince Fiero (Jonathan Bailey), she attempts a reconciliation between Elphaba and the Wizard. The knock-on effect of BOQ (Ethan Slater), Fiyero and Elphaba’s sister Nessarose (Marissa Bode) backfires just as certain Kansas girls arrive.
Cast and creative team
Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights) returns as directors, while Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox will once again appear in scriptwriting duties.
The ensemble includes Eribo, Grande, Goldblum, Yoh, Bailey, Slater, Bord, Bowenyan, Bronwyn James (Pfany and Shenshen), and Sharon D. Clark as the voices of dalcibians.

The success of the first chapter
The first film has become the best-selling Broadway screen adaptation to date, earning more than 756 million US dollars worldwide. He also received 10 Oscar nominations (including Best Pictures) and won the costume design and production design.

WICKED: It will be released in Australian cinemas on November 20th and in US cinemas on November 21st.
