Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is almost here, and anticipation is quickly building. The multiplayer beta gave players the first chance to experience new maps, weapons, and all-new movement mechanics, further increasing the hype for the new game.

As the first CoD title to launch since Xbox acquired Activision Blizzard, this year’s game is a landmark moment for the series.

Black Ops 6 release date

Treyarch has confirmed that Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024. This is slightly earlier than usual, but continues the trend of Black Ops games being released earlier than their Modern Warfare counterparts.

Unlike recent releases, Black Ops 6 does not have an early access period. This means that all players will have to wait until that date to enjoy the title, regardless of which version they pre-ordered.

Black Ops 6 is available on PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Also available on PC via Steam, Battle.net, and the Xbox app.

For the first time, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on day one at no additional cost.

Pre-order Black Ops 6

Pre-orders for Black Ops 6 are currently open, giving players plenty of time to purchase the game before its release. Pre-ordering offers a variety of benefits, including access to challenges to unlock the Woods Operator and access to the beta.

If you haven’t already, you can pre-order your copy of Black Ops 6 using this link.

black ops 6 trailer

The Black Ops 6 reveal trailer was released during Xbox Showcase and has since become the most-watched Call of Duty trailer in series history. Check it out below.

black ops 6 campaign

Set in the early 1990s, the game sees the return of Frank Woods. Frank Woods is now working with a new genius called Troy Marshall to unravel a secret conspiracy going on at the CIA.

This story also features other Black Ops characters such as Russell Adler, who appeared in the Black Ops Cold War campaign. In case you haven’t seen it yet, here’s one of the campaign missions shown during the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation.

black ops 6 multiplayer

Black Ops 6 multiplayer has been making a lot of noise with the addition of a feature called “Omnimovement.” This introduces a new layer that was not present in previous titles, giving you more precise control over every action.

Projectile weapons will be weapons inspired by real guns from the 90s, as well as experimental weapons such as a light machine gun with an M16 body.

As for maps, Treyarch confirmed that the game will primarily feature small to medium-sized maps. This is the multiplayer trailer released before the beta started.

It has also been confirmed that Nuke Town will be coming in a post-launch update.

black ops 6 zombies

The Dark Aether storyline will continue in this new installment of Black Ops Zombies. The game will have two new maps added at launch: Terminus and Liberty Falls.

The Terminal takes place in a remote prison on an island, where the Requiem crew is found betrayed by Edward Richtofen, who was pulling the strings for the CIA during a Cold War zombie outbreak.

Liberty Falls takes place in the West Virginia city where Project Janus, a secret project of unknown purpose led by Richtofen, was underway. However, a zombie outbreak occurs at the location, apparently caused by Samantha Maxis, and a team is now dispatched to clean up the mess.
